Like a Dragon It is a franchise that has always gone against market trends. On the one hand, its games captivate Dramatic and well-structured scripts, with many charismatic characters. On the other hand, they were never afraid to embrace a joke and focus on what really matters in a video game: the fun. This fortunately continues to be the keynote in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealththe eighth numbered chapter in the franchise and the biggest release in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's history.
The game is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2017) and brings back the affable Ichiban Kasuga, reviving the turn-based RPG formula. The title also connects to the events of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023), released in November, and brings a new stage in the troubled existence of Kiryu Kazuma, who now faces the biggest and most personal battle of his life. So it's no surprise that both games are key to understanding the characters' motivations.
