Palworld is 'meaningless imitation', says Pokémon executive

The website GameFile got in touch with Don McGowanan expert who acted as head of the Pokémon Company's legal department between 2008 and 2020. And, according to the lawyer, the accusations against the independent title are indeed valid.

“This seems to me to be a frequent nonsense imitation that I saw thousands of times a year when I was the legal manager for Pokémon. (…) I'm surprised he made it this far“, says McGowan.

To date, Nintendo itself has not yet officially commented on the controversies or the game itself.
