Ubisoft announced that Skull and Bones, the highly anticipated pirate game, will have a second test open between February 8th and 11th, just a week before the official launch on February 16th. With this, players will be able to access the title for free before its debut.
This beta will be available to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players, allowing another opportunity to experience the game that will feature crossplay between all platforms and shared progression.
Year 1 of Skull and Bones will have four seasons and more
Ubisoft also released the roadmap for the first year of Skull and Bones, which will feature four themed seasons with multiplayer content focused on PvP and PvE. Season 1, called “Raging Tides,” will introduce pirate Philippe La Peste, mastery events, and activity rewards.
Season 2, “Chorus of Havoc”, will bring the Hubac Twins and Megalodon, with new activities and mechanics. While Season 3, “Into the Dragon's Wake”, will allow you to defeat the legendary pirate Li Tian Ning.
In the final season, there will be a legendary battle against a mysterious rival and Lunar New Year events. Check out the news announced in the trailer below:
It is worth remembering that the beta will allow players to progress through the campaign up to the “Exterminate the Rat” level. All progress made in the beta period will carry over to the full version of the game.
How to participate in the open beta?
Testing will only take place on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-download available from February 6th. On this day, simply access the game's official page on your respective console. During the beta, players will explore areas such as the Red Island and the African Coast, facing factions via diplomatic or aggressive approaches.
