Dr. Shaun Murphy's beautiful coming-of-age journey is about to reach its climax with the release of the seventh and final season of The Good Doctor (2017) in February 2024. The medical series became a favorite among the public and secured a nomination for Freddie Highmore as Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 2018 Golden Globes.

When does season 7 of The Good Doctor start?
The countdown has begun! The 7th season of The Good Doctor is scheduled to debut in February 20, 2024at 10 pm in the Eastern time zone of the United States.
The following episodes of the program will be released weekly. So far, ABC has not announced whether the 7th season will repeat the same number of episodes as the previous ones.
What should happen in the final season of The Good Doctor?
The plot of the final season remains shrouded in mystery, but there are hints that the story will continue from the impactful events of the last season. Dr. Murphy must face new challenges as a first-time father and president of San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.

Who will be in the cast of season 7?
The main cast will continue to be led by Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, accompanied by the talented Richard Schiff, Will Yun Lee, Fiona Gubelmann, Christina Chang, Paige Spara, Noah Galvin and Bria Henderson.
Although, the new season promises three changes! Hill Harper, Dr. Marcus Andrews, is leaving the TV show to run for U.S. Senate and Brandon Larracuente, Dr. Danny Perez, will not be returning full-time due to the schedule of his new project with Prime Video.
Apparently, the history of the series will not suffer as much with the two departures of the cast. At the end of season 6, Dr. Andrews resigned as president of the hospital and Dr. Perez had a drug relapse, providing a plausible explanation for his disappearance.
Finally, the third change is an addition to the main cast, being a name known to fans. Chuku Modu, who played Dr. Jared Kalu in Season 1, has been promoted to series regular.

In Brazil, the six seasons of The Good Doctor they are available on Globoplay. The streaming platform will probably also receive the seventh season after its debut in the United States.
