Galaxy Ring: smart ring is listed in Samsung app and launch may be close
Samsung's smart ring may be closer to launch than expected. Recently, the Galaxy Ring was listed by big tech on the Good Lock appwhich allows you to customize the interface of several of the brand's devices, indicating an upcoming debut.
The presence of the Galaxy Ring on the platform was noticed by Reddit users on Wednesday (31), suggesting that it also will be supported by the service. The gadget appears among the devices for which it is possible to show the battery status in a widget, along with the Galaxy Buds headphones, the Galaxy Fit bracelet and the Galaxy Watch watches.

Intended for health monitoring and physical activity measurements, the wearable device's existence was confirmed by the manufacturer during the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2024, last month, when the Galaxy S24 series was launched. However, the company did not provide many details about the product.
At the time, Samsung also did not say when the Galaxy Ring would be launched, limiting itself to showing a teaser of it. ANDIt is speculated that the smart ring will hit stores in the second half of this yearinformation that gains even more strength with the listing on the Good Lock app.
Lightness and multiple size options
While Samsung maintains complete secrecy about its smart ring, people who have already tried the prototype provided some details about the new feature. Among them is analyst Avi Greengart, who claims to have used a trial version of the Galaxy Ring.
Using his profile on Threads, he said that the smart ring draws attention for being extremely light, ensuring greater comfort. Furthermore, the smart ring has three types of finishes and 13 size optionsserving as many people as possible, according to Greengart.
Rumors suggest that the new gadget could act as a complement to the Galaxy Watch or even function as alternative to smart watches and fitness braceletsas it has similar features.
