Songs from Universal Music artists will no longer be available on TikTok from today (01)

Universal Music today (1st) removed songs from major artists such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Drake and Adele from TikTok. The record company chose not to renew its contract with the social network, directly impacting the app's soundtrack.

In a letter addressed to the artist and songwriter community, the label highlighted its efforts to ensure fair compensation. The UMG not only criticized the amounts paid to artists, but also pointed out the lack of effective measures against hate speech and harassment.
