Max: streaming that replaces HBO gains release date and prices in Brazil; look

Warner Bros. Discovery announced, this Wednesday (24), that the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max) will be launched in Brazil on February 27. In total, three subscription plans will be offered that will cost from R$29.90 per month.

According to Warner, Max will have a catalog of more than 37 thousand hours of content, which represents double what is currently on HBO Max.

In addition to the HBO collection, the platform will make available series, films, documentaries, animations and other productions from Warner Bros., DC Universe, Discovery, Discovery Home & Health, ID, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids and Adult Swim.

The large franchises that are currently offered will continue in the catalogue, such as GLove of Thrones (and derivatives like Dragon House), Harry Potter, The Big Bang Theory, Looney Tunes, Rick and Morty, Largados e Pelados, 90 Day Fiancé and others.

As a new feature, Max will have the first screening window for Sony Pictures films, live events (such as award shows and sports tournaments) and original local productions.

Max will offer 3 plans for new subscribers on the launch date. TAll subscriptions have monthly or annual payment options via credit cardwith the annual option offering a discount of up to 36%.

Launched last year in the United States, Max ended with the HBO Max brand. According to Warner Bros., all current HBO Max subscribers will have access to Max starting February 27th.

Users will retain current plan features and pricing for a limited time after Max launches. Likewise, HBO Max users who took advantage of the service's 50% launch offer will keep the discount.

• Standard Plan
• Devices: up to two devices;

• Offline playback: the plan will allow up to 30 content downloads for offline viewing;
• Values: R$39.90 (month) and R$357.90 (year).

• Platinum Plan
• Devices: up to four devices;
• Resolution: content will be available in Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound;
• Offline: the plan will allow up to 100 content downloads for offline viewing;
• Values: R$55.90 (month) and annual R$477.90 (year).
