Samsung replaces SmartThings Find with an app that allows you to track people
The Samsung Find app, which replaces SmartThings Find and allows you to track devices and even people, is one of the new features of One UI 6.1. The presence of the resource was first observed by journalist Mishaal Rahman, on Thursday (18).
According to him, the new application is more than a redesigned version of SmartThings Find, as it adds new tools to the service. From now on, the user will also be able to track the movement of family and friends who share your locationopening the “People” tab.
Samsung Find is a new app preloaded on the #GalaxyS24 series. This dedicated app provides a map view of your Galaxy devices on the SmartThings Find network. You can also track items you've attached your Galaxy SmartTag trackers to.

There are also two other tabs. Under “Devices”, you can check the current position of Galaxy devices registered in the account. This includes cell phones and headphones, for example, while the “Items” tab shows objects tracked by Galaxy SmartTags, such as keys and suitcases.
When you tap one of the options in the new Samsung Find app, the function displays an interactive map on the screen indicating the exact location of the tracked individual, device or object. In the case of people, the resource can be used to accompany children and the elderly, helping to keep them safe.
No notifications for forgetful
Despite the improvements added to the SmartThings Find app replacement, Rahman noted the absence of an interesting tool for the forgetful. This is the “Notify when left behind” function, which warns you if you leave objects with a Samsung smart tracker behind.
In a situation in which the user leaves the workplace without the car key attached to the SmartTag, for example, the application sends an alert as soon as he leaves that area. But according to the expert, the South Korean giant is likely to add the notification in an upcoming update.
The new Samsung Find app is currently available exclusively on devices that have already received One UI 6.1. Soon, the new version of the interface will be released for more cell phones, which will be able to download the tracking tool through the Galaxy Store.
